Biography & Approach

Juri studied Architecture and Contemporary Dance. She began working as an independent artist in 2007 in the public realm where she learnt the positive effect of the arts in communities and their environments. Her interest grew into movement and somatics after encountering works of Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch and Rosemary Lee. Her aim is to create interventions that heightens our awareness and senses, allowing us to shift our perceptions and bring about a sense of deeper connection and understanding of ourselves in relation to our environment. Her performative work welcome personal interpretations and insights by each individual. Alongside her artistic practice, she designs and choreographs exhibitions.
